The result is clear. The land developers will be long gone but residents will be left to complain about the noise and seek to obtain respite. They will ultimately apply pressure to force a curfew on the operating hours of Melbourne Airport, to the economic detriment of the State of Victoria, but more critically, they will seek to have the noise shared across the municipalities.
